She’s a CAT 34 made in Italy in 1979. Her name is HIR 3 (Caprice in Croatian) and although she’s only 34 ft (10.10 m) long, she had already circumnavigated the globe and became the first Croatian sailing yacht to round the Cape Horn in 1989.
In 1991, during the war in Croatia, she was bombed in Dubrovnik. She had 286 holes. In the hull, but she survived..
Later, in 2000s she has been neglected and eventually abandoned when I found her in 2013. It took me more than two years of hard work to restore her and another two years to prepare for a round the world voyage…
